Canada has been home to many trailblazing women—from Viola Desmond, a civil rights icon, to other great women who have served in different spectrums of this country. More women are rising in leadership, business, STEM, and the arts, making their mark on the nation’s future.

The Canadian government has also taken steps to support women with paid parental leave, workplace protections, and diversity programs. But the reality is that challenges still exist.
