Canada Day Celebrations
Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday at Canada Days! A citywide celebration, Canada Days presents festivities at four locations across Toronto including a four-day festival at Nathan Phillips Square from June 30 to July 3, and one-day events at Mel Lastman Square, Humber Bay Park West and Scarborough Civic Centre on July 1. The rich fabric of Canada will be heard, seen and felt this summer!
Nathan Phillips Square
Barenaked Ladies, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Ron Sexsmith & the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) with special guest Rose Cousins, dvsn, Belly & dozens more! June 30 to July 3, 2017. Free.
Mel Lastman Square
Busty and the Bass’ dance-filled performances influenced by hip-hop & jazz & The Lytics, a group of young Canadian emcees with a musical pallet rooted in reggae, soul & jazz. July 1, 2017. Free.
Humber Bay Park West
Juno-nominated indie-folk artist, Basia Bulat wows audiences with her powerful voice & stomping feet. Hailing all the way from Ukraine, DakhaBrakha, an “ethno chaos” quartet. July 1, 2017. Free.
Scarborough Civic Centre
Influential rap duo Deen Squad, combines the raw essence of urban hip-hop with the core tenets of spiritual values. Desi rapper, Horsepowar, blends Bollywood beats. July 1, 2017. Free.
