The Women of the Word 2nd Annual Conference was held on Friday, June 22 to Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Royal York Baptist Church; 1520 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada M9P 3B5.
The key speakers were Rev. Wambui Njoroge (Georgia, USA), Rev. Sue Karanja (Canada) and the Host, Rev. Judy Joram (Kenya/South Africa). Women of the Word Ministry was founded by Rev. Judy Joram and has born ministries in Kenya, South Africa, Namibia and Canada.
The June 2018 Conference theme was from the book of Nehemiah 2:17 “Come let us rebuild the wall”.
Pastor Judy spoke about hearing God’s voice, following his instructions and seeking him in order to arise and make a change in the situations. “To build our broken walls we need to spend more time with God; children cannot build only mature people build walls,” Pastor Judy said. Pastor Sue Karanja demonstrated about “giving” as a form of worship and Rev. Wambui Njoroge narrated the characteristics of a woman of divine purpose.
It was a glorious conference with great music and God’s Word. Women were empowered to move forward and become doers of the Word especially putting into practice what they learnt from the conference.
