Newcomers celebrated on Toronto Newcomer Day

The City of Toronto is celebrating Toronto’s diverse communities next Tuesday, with its fourth annual Toronto Newcomer Day.
Everyone is welcome at Nathan Phillips Square (100 Queen St. W.) on May 29, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Event highlights include:

art exhibit
city hall tours
entertaining performances
citizenship ceremony
colouring for children
food trucks
information fair
mock voting activity
newcomer marketplace
gardening activity
henna artist
spoken word for youth and more

Participants have the opportunity to learn more about Toronto’s City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square as part of this tour activity. Trained tour guides will accompany pre-registered groups (maximum 30 participants) to four different interest points. City Hall tours run from 10 a.m. to noon, with each tour lasting 30 minutes.
